As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life.

Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). Set in the San Francisco Bay Area, Living Inside Out, is a short experimental documentary that explores the intense challenge of reentering society through the eyes of three formerly incarcerated women. Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. In 2015, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all – inside the mind of an 11-year-old named Riley. The Pixar website has revealed the first official plot synopsis for Inside Out, the latest from director Pete Docter (Up, Monsters Inc.) that takes fans on a journey through the human mind. Still I trust that Docter will be able to do something that will stand on its own. That is if you don’t remember the early 1990s sitcom Herman’s Head which ran on the early FOX network for three season.

Up director Pete Docter is the creative driver on this film, which is certainly a good sign. Inside Out Synopsis Riley is a kid who lives in Minnesota before. Perhaps it is a good thing then that we don’t have an animated film from them this year, giving them some real time to concentrate on next summer’s Inside Out. Five years is a long time to go for a studio that was generating them at a pace of one right after another for a good while. Between a string of sequels and the frankly underwhelming Brave in 2012, PIXAR hasn’t had an original story hit film since 2009’s Up. The official synopsis for Pixars 2015 release Inside Out has been revealed, and its, like, whoa: From the tepuis of South America to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director. I hate to say it, but it feels as if PIXAR has been in a bit of a rut these past few years.
